THE AGE OF DANCE | Sara, 54

Dance Documentary, Personal Project

The first in a series of films focused on women who have retired from dance, exploring themes of age, ability, identity and loss.

Produced by Parkview Creative.

"The Age of Dance looks broadly at media representation of women in their ‘mid life’. Using retired dancers as our vehicle we explore why there is so little opportunity or positive representation for women who are no longer in their enviable twenties and haven’t yet reached their Jane Fonda era.

Although there have been seismic shifts of inclusivity in terms of gender, race and body image - age is still an area of diversity which gets missed.

Enormous thanks to our wonderful, generous, collaborative team that brought this one to life and to our incredible contributor Sara Hague."
